Bubbled in gray mist
Enclosed
All fades from view
A morning fog renders
My world quiet and small
And I am
Myself
Freed
From
Expectation
I am as I am as I would be
Masked from all
Unadorned
Behind this veil I lift my veil
And for a moment, oh so brief
I am me
Outside my globe
Bustles one larger
And I am to it to return
I will once again
Be
Scrutinized
By
Others’ eyes
And again will wear my own mask
